Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp is one of our most popular events and books up very quickly. Our 2025 camp was fully booked within just ten minutes of it going live on equo!!

New for 2026 we will be hosting a Give it a Go camp in May, Wednesday 13th - Saturday 16th. Please view the schedule for more information.

The dates for our 2026 Summer Camp are Wednesday 12th August to Saturday 15th August and we are delighted to be returning to Forest Edge Arena near Swaffham for a 4 day, 3 night break in the idyllic Norfolk Countryside.

Our Summer Camp programme is arranged to include a bit of everything and allows times to go hacking and exploring the surrounding forest. This will include a flatwork day with a lesson and mini dressage competition, jumping day again with a lesson and then clear rounds. On the final morning we aim to utilise the cross country facilities but this can be dependent on ground condition and something fun such as formation riding.

Forest Edge is set in the heart of Breckland, bordering Thetford Forest and offers miles of off road hacking.  From our previous visits, Forest Edge has proved to be a perfect setting for our camp.  The club will have exclusive use of the facilities, which include:-

•    77 x 35m Superb Indoor arenas with Andrew Bowen pro          wax surface which looks out onto the forest – it is very              light and airy.
•    Show jumps and Cross Country course
•    Covered outdoor school
•    Unlimited hacking in the Forest (no roadwork necessary,          unless heading further afield)
•    Restaurant – serving home cooked food (included in the          price)
•    Indoor toilets and showers
•    Lounge/rest room
•    Electric hook up if required
•    Lodge accommodation available

We also try to have the weighbridge available on one of the days with feeding advice from Dengie.

We aim to give everyone the opportunity to ‘have a go’ at activities in a relaxed and safe environment, some of which we may not otherwise try.  Most of all it is time to have a break with your horse, friends and have fun with like-minded people.

We also offer a few spaces for an alternative camp for members who would like to attend camp but opt out of the daytime schedule and just enjoy the break away and hacking in the forest.
